Presently, backups of Android devices, which encompass SMS messages, call history, device settings, and app data, do not count against the 15GB of free storage allocated to each Google Account. This storage is shared across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos. Should an account surpass its available storage, automatic device backups will be temporarily halted until more space is made available.
