From Tel Aviv to Sanaa: Israel Projects Power Deep into Arab World

In a powerful display of military projection, Israel has struck deep into the Arab world, with its Air Force conducting a major bombing run on Sanaa, the capital of Yemen. The operation demonstrates Israel’s capability and willingness to engage with threats located hundreds of miles from its borders.
The strikes, which killed and wounded dozens, were a response to a Houthi missile attack. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, speaking after observing the operation from a command center in Tel Aviv, made it clear that distance is no protection for Israel’s enemies. “Whoever attacks us, we will attack him,” he warned.
The targets chosen—a military compound, fuel depots, and power stations—were selected to inflict significant damage on the Houthi regime’s ability to govern and fight. The claimed destruction of the presidential palace, though unverified, would be a major symbolic victory.
This operation serves as a stark warning to other Iran-backed proxy groups across the region. Israel is signaling that its strategic red lines extend far beyond its immediate neighbors and that it will use its advanced military capabilities to enforce them.
