US General Chris Donahue emphasized the importance of military readiness and visible actions in deterring threats, assuring NATO partners of America’s unwavering support in defending Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
NATO’s strategic response includes the establishment of a new command structure specifically for the Baltic region. This structure enables the alliance to deploy additional forces and enhance coordination among member countries. Under this revised system, multinational divisions stationed in Estonia and Latvia will operate under the leadership of a German-led military corps, further strengthening the alliance’s defense posture.
