After days of heavy storms and record rainfall in Athens, Greece is shifting back to intense summer heat, with temperatures expected to climb to 40°C by Friday. Meteorologists note this could be the final major heatwave of the season.
Today, skies will be mostly clear with some local clouds and isolated showers in parts of Thessaly, Macedonia, and Thrace. Winds will generally blow from the north at moderate strength, and temperatures will range from 30–35°C across most regions, reaching higher in inland areas.
Regional Outlook
Attica: Mostly sunny, highs up to 33°C.
Thessaloniki: Partly cloudy with possible afternoon showers, highs near 31°C.
Macedonia & Thrace: Scattered clouds with local showers, highs up to 33°C.
